Demond Thomas is a former owner-operator who sold his truck and joined the Averitt team as a city driver and is now a frontline leader. Demond reflects on the opportunities to learn and grow with Averitt that are helping him on his career path.   

Joseph Anderson started with Averitt in 2014 and is currently a CDL-A city driver, but started out as a dock associate. Joseph reflects on Averitt’s promote from within and profit sharing practices and how they have helped him grow in his career.

Colin Padal started with Averitt as a part-time dock associate where he worked for eight months before becoming a full-time city driver. Colin reflects on the opportunities to learn and grow with Averitt that helped him on his career path.  

When Juan Rosales joined the Averitt team as a city driver, he was attracted to our team's professional equipment and culture. After a few years as a driver, picking up and delivering freight throughout his local area, his needs changed, and he began to look at the dispatch process and learn more about how his skills could be used in leadership.

Dan Mason learned about discipline and leadership in the military and found a home for those skills at Averitt. Now, as an LTL Frontline Leader at our Dallas service center, he works alongside drivers and associates he calls "family."

Knoxville shop leader Johnathan Cole has been with Averitt for 17 years, and he’s experienced career growth during that time to be in his current role.

Darrell White started as a driver with Averitt in 1995. Through his hard work and dedication he was promoted to a driver trainer, then driver leader, and is now the operations manager of the largest service center at Averitt Express.

If you're looking for a great example of Averitt's culture of promoting from within, it’s  Vincent Washington . Vincent started his Averitt career as a part-time dock associate, and has also served as a full-time dock associate, frontline leader and sales associate.
