Uriel Garcia started at Averitt in 2021 as a CDL-Qualified dock associate. Having his CDL-A, he was ready to start driving but had a few restrictions on his license. Luckily, Averitt’s Dock-To-Driver program was here to help Uriel pursue his passion for driving.

Willie Lewis joined Averitt in 2021 as a dock associate. As soon as he heard about our Dock-To-Driver program, he knew he had to do it. While working on the dock, his driver trainer helped him earn his CDL-A, and he has taken some of the skills from his dock work with him on the road.

In 2005, Domitilo Ramos joined Averitt’s Dallas Service Center as a dock associate. Now, he is one of our many associates that has joined our Dock-To-Driver Program and earned his CDL-A. 

Over a thousand of our current associates - including drivers, members of our executive team, logistics and operations leaders, and administrative professionals - have served or are currently serving in the military. Hiring military personnel is more than a trend for us. It’s a natural fit.

Veteran and Cincinnati driver Adam Miller was referred to Averitt by a family member back in 2011 and joined our team working on the dock. When his service center director presented the opportunity, he joined our dock-to-driver training program and never looked back.
